My mother is Thai, and my father is black and white. I have a wonderful husband, and we share a 4.8.lbs Yorkshire Terrier named Yeti. As a foodie at heart who enjoys traveling, being diagnosed with lupus in January of 2017 came as a shock. My symptoms all appeared at once: I had a fever for nine straight days and suffered from debilitating fatigue. I also noticed a rash developing on my left arm, which didn’t hurt but irritated me. In addition, my hair started to fall out in big chunks, and a large butterfly rash appeared on my face. A dermatologist took a biopsy of my rash, which gave me clarity: I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).

BLOG

I created this blog to create awareness, connect to others with lupus, and share as much as I know about the disease. It’s never easy to be diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, but shared experiences can give comfort and make you feel less alone. Through my blog, I hope to provide knowledge, offer hope and motivate you to enjoy life fully despite living with lupus.
